Review: The Alchemy of Desire

The Alchemy of Desire

Never ever has the fantasy for carnel pleasure been explored in such a meticulous fashion, as done in ‘The Alchemy of Desire’. The book starts with the quote “Love is not the greatest glue between two people, sex it”, and ends with “Sex is not the greatest glue between two people, Love is”. Amid the quotes, the author explores what he calls ‘the alchemy of desire’, desire, which when active can take a person into the realms of fantasy never explored before, but when missing can run a havoc into ones life. It is this desire that can inebriate one’s mind with another one’s body, act as an elixir of life: the cure of all ailments. The same desire can foster jealousy, distraught truth and hallucinate reality. The desire in men for women, the desire in men for men, the desire for fornication, the connubial desire, the desire in dreams, the incubus and the succubus desire, the missing desire, the budding desire, the vicarious desire, the personal desire, the book explores the fantasies of all sort of desires. What the reader is left with in the end is this unanswered question, “What drives the human soul, desire for love or love for desire?”

A book worth reading for those searching for solace in their monotonous life.

“Desire is a wonderfully promiscuous thing, but when it is trapped in monogamy it cannot survive without love.”

Lines written on Valentine’s day

Oh my dear ugly pig,
where did you get this strength?
to wander in the filthy shit,
in arms of a lovely friend.
This young man the one in love,
does envy your little chick.
for he also loves the romance,
but fears the policeman’s stick.
Hey you dog, pissing on the pole
look how lovely is your bitch
and I wonder you fear no body
to spend a night in a ditch.
This young man the one in love
would love to ape your work.
for you don’t worry the fluky puppies,
but they make him go berserk.
Hello dear pigeons, here you are,
kissing on the public bench.
are you drunken, or indifferent
undaunted of the social wrench.
This young man the one in love,
once tried to play your game
Now he lies with a soring butt
living as a mark of shame.
And I wonder this message of love,
Is what the natures plan.
Have I not reason to lament,
what man has made of man?

The beginning

I hope this is just the beginning,
of beauty that’s not to end.
The rose, her beauty and her fragrance,
In the gardens of perseverance.
Perceiving presence of pertinent passion,
deceiving thorns with benevolence.
I hope this is just the beginning,
of life that’s starting to smile.
Conviviality of the budding relation,
In the meetings of hesitation.
consoling conundrum of connubial coalesce,
baffled mind in state of confusion.
I hope this is just the beginning,
of infusion of two solitary souls.
In tandem they beat, the hearts light,
the souls unite for blissful flight.
I looked in her eyes, the rose is white,
metamorphosis to yellow, red, we unite.
I hope this is just the beginning,
Of the night of eternal bliss.
The spirit united its time for the lust,
Elixir of life, I find in her trust.
Together we diffuse in the dappled vividness,
inebriated, cuddled in the cozy crust.
I know this is just the beginning,
of beauty that’s not to end.
