Vikram Pandit was recently selected as the CEO of Citigroup. Before this many Indian origin executives have held the top posts and businesses in the world like Arun Sarin at Vodafone, Shantanu Narayan at Adobe and Indira Nooyi at Pepsi. World’s largest steel producer is Indian born executive Laxmi Mittal. This leaves us with a question unanswered. Why do Indian’s excel more outside than inside the country?
